I Completed the Works

In April 2006 The Royal Shakespeare Company began the most ambitious project in its history, putting on all the works of William Shakespeare in a single year. I intended [if spared, as we say in Northern Ireland] to see them all. 38 plays, the two long poems,the ode and 13 of the sonnets, 884,647 words, 589 scenes,the equivalent of 26 marathons.I raised over £140,000 towards the transformation of the RSC's Stratford theatres. This is the blog of my Complete Works year - and thereafter.
